Introduction

Visitors to Urkiola Natural Park can choose from the many ways to enjoy the natural surroundings. You can choose from sports or leisure activities, or even decide to just enjoy the natural setting.

Further information about the different activities in the Park is available from the Toki Alai Visitors’ Centre, located on the Urkiola Pass, where you can discover more about the Urkiola fauna and flora from the centre’s exhibition.

Hiking is one of the most popular reasons for visiting these mountains, where you can choose from an easy route to more strenuous climbs up the mountains.

The walls of the Atxarte ravine is a splendid setting for the more daring among you to try out your skills. Choose from among the hundreds of climbing routes, with a wide range difficulties, but which are sure to thrill you.

Come and visit our mountains, where you can enjoy nature as you walk, climb or just relax under the leafy beech trees surrounding the Urkiola Sanctuary.
